Mykel Z. Alekzanderh is a natural born teacher and coach. He has been in the health, natural healing and fitness field for over twenty years. As a young man of twenty, he had some personal health issues involving arthritis, Hypoglycemia and Candidia. He went through his own journey of self healing without prescription medication. This experience gave him a whole new outlook on health and healing, and has encouraged him to learn tools that help him focus on healing in an alternative way. Mykel strongly believes in helping his clients achieve their peak health potential. Mykel began his healing career at Aesthetics University in Massage Therapy in the 80's. Moved on in becoming certified in Chair Massage from Blue Sky Educational Foundation in Grafton, WI. He believes that it is important to be broad based in his approach to healing; therefore, he is also certified in Reflexology, through Digits International Reflexology Institute, Reiki 1, 2, 3, & Reiki Master First Degee at the MSI Institute in Evanston, Illinois, and has received training & Certification in Pranic Healing. Mykel is certified as a Life Coach through Fowler and Wainwright International Coaching School, Certified Master Coach from The American University of NLP. has received certification as an NLP Practitioner & pursuing Master Practitioner status. Certified Personal Trainer. Certified L.O.A. Advanced Practitioner. He is also certified as a Wellness Coach through Spencer Institute. Mykel started with Martial Arts at age 4 -5 first with Judo then Tae-Kwon-Do, has studied w/ Masters of many forms of Martial Arts. And studied & trained in such Matial Arts such as Kempo, KARATE, Jusando, Ju-jitsu, Gung Fu, AikIdo, Karate, Kung Fu, Kendo. Etc.Studied with top Fitness Professionals & Trainers in the industry, for over 30 years. Mykel has worked in the industry teaching a variety of fitness classes such as The YMCA, YWCA, Victory Lady Fitness, Racine Athletic Club, Total Health Fitness Studios, North Shore Health & Fitness Club, etc. Has worked one on one or group or class settings, with businesses such as Johnson Wax etc. Mykel is a 4th Dan (Degree) Black Belt currently & Certified Master Instructor. Works as an instructor at World Martial Arts Federation & Black Belt Academy/ Amerstate University in Racine, Anchor Fitness in South Milwaukee,Wi. Here at The C.A.T.H.E Center in Burlington WI. He currently works with students in Martial Arts, Tai- Chi, Qigong as well as a Personal trainer/Instructor/Coach in Boot Camp, Life & Wellness Coach, fitness Classes & Self Defense for Women and Children. (All classes are in the lower level of the C.A.T.H.E. Center,(parking for Cathe Center) use rear entrance, downstairs in gym) Descriptions: Boot Camp Classes: Starting in Feb. 2012 look for dates & times to posted soon. DESCRIPTION: This class incoporates traditional Boot Camp concepts with modern techniques in an intense style burning up to 750 to 1500 calories in each session. We will be using weights, stretch bands, kettle bells, medicine balls, exercise balls, intermediate and advance Boot Camp style aerobics, plyometrics, cross training modalities, power jacks, power push ups, and specific ab work. This class is open to all fitness levels. MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing, sweats & or workout clothing, water, towel, tennis shoes. FEE: $50/hour OR $60/90 min. OR $135/month (individual class, 1X/week) OR $175/month(individual 2X/week). Tae-Kwon-Do -Traditional (WTF) Style: Begins: mon. Jan. 23rd. 2012 World Martial Arts Federation & Black Belt Academy Days & Times: mon. 3:30pm to 4:15pm-wed. 4:15pm to 5pm-fri. 4pm to 4:45pm DESCRIPTION: This class is for beginners, intermediate and advanced and is open to ages 3 years to 90+. Children and adults are taught together in a class format. Children also may be taught separately. Child Development & Adult Development:: Children and adults can benefit both physically and mentally from the study of Traditional Martial Arts. Self control, self-discipline and confidence are a natural by-product of this study. As a result of these benefits, the child experiences pride in himself and his ability to change. Physical Fitness - plays a key role in the Martial Arts. Mental Attitude - Self confidence is gained by the sense of accomplishment that the student feels as they learn this art form. It is proven that this self confidence then carries over into the persons (child and adult) life. MATERIALS: Required uniforms w/ school & Country patches included, no shoes & socks in class. MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing-sweats/ workout clothing preferable FEE: $60/month Cardio-Kickboxing: classes coming soon DESCRIPTION: The focus of this class is weight loss, toning, strength building, confidence, stress reduction, Martial Arts style. (Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, Kendo) This class will incorporate kicking, punching, boxing & Thai Boxing mechanics, MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing, sweats/workout clothing preferable, tennis shoes, water, towel. FEE: $55/month. Other classes & services: Personal Training (By apointment only) Description: DESCRIPTION: One-on-one training that will work with your individual needs & goals which will be determined through a wellness & physical assessment. We will use a variety of methods such as weight training, cross-training, specific excercises, stretching, wellness procedures & methodolgy's, etc. The goal of these trainings are to help you reach your personal optimum health & wellness goals. This training is perfect for the average person who does or does not have any experience with fitness and wellness. It is also great for the athlete who wants to use these trainings for competitive purposes or for the individual looking to improve their overall health & fitness level. MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing, sweats or workout clothing, tennis shoes, water, towel. FEE: $45/hour (individual) or $70/hour (2 participants) or $100/hour (3 participants) T'ai-Chi DESCRIPTION: Thousands of years old, ancient Chinese slow moving full body exercise. Can be described as an internal Chinese moving meditation. This form Incorporates the Chinese concepts of Yin & Yang. The practice of T'ai Chi assists in the healthy balance of Yin & Yang opposing forces within the body, thereby aiding in the flow of internal energy (Chi). Benifits: stress relief, strenghthening of the back & posture, improving blood pressure, mood enhancing, improving breathing & circulation, etc. MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing such as sweats or other non-restrictive clothing, may use Kung Fu shoes or may be done in socks. FEE: $20/45 min. (individual) or $50/month (2 or more participants class). Qigong- (pronounced "Chee gung")-( also known as Chi Kung) DESCRIPTION: 5000 year old ancient movement & breathing exercise, gathering & circulating internal energy with graceful movements, using a multitude of breathing techniques to absorb Qi. Improves concentration, balance, breathing, strengthening of internal organs, energy enhancing, increases and strengthens internal & external Qi. MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing such as sweats or other non-restrictive clothing, may use Kung Fu shoes or may be done in socks. Fee: $25 for a 30-40 intro. $35 for an hour w/ class or one on on. Life & Wellness Coaching: DESCRIPTION: The focus of these session are designed to assist and motivate clients in breaking through their own obstacles that are standing in the way of them reaching their true potential. Through these sessions, your Life Coach will guide & listen to the client and will assist the client with a plan of action to help them achieve their goals. Assistance will be given to establish new healthy, productive habits which are intended to replace the old ones that are no longer needed. The goal of the Life & Wellness Coach is creating a transformative experience. This process is broken down into 6 sessions. The initial consultation, assessment, and vision statement can be done in person or through a phone interview. The rest of process may be done on-site or through phone conversations and can be set up weekly or monthly, depending on the individuals needs. MATERIALS: The client receives a Vision Statement & or Wellness plan procedure. Included w/ Life Coaching & or Wellness Cloaching. Personal workbook & or journal the client needs to provide. FEE: $75 for the first session (60-90 minutes), $55/45min. sessions to follow (basic 6 sessions). If needed, follow up sessions $50/45min. Fitness Classes: watch for future class offerings DESCRIPTION: Aerobic style-sculpting, cardio, step, hi & low impact, Dance style, band work, execise ball, etc. MATERIALS: Wear loose clothing, sweats or workout clothing, water, tennis shoes.
